States with which North Carolina has Comity
The North Carolina Board of Law Examiners recently voted to allow applicants from Indiana to apply for admission in NC by comity.
Pursuant to Rule .0502(4), before an applicant from one of these jurisdictions may apply for admission by comity in North Carolina, the applicant must satisfy the Board that the jurisdiction from which the applicant is applying will admit North Carolina attorneys to the practice of law in such jurisdiction without examination, other than the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination.
