Filing Deadline

Two written bar examinations shall be held each year for those applying to be admitted to the practice of law in North Carolina. The written bar examinations shall be held in the City of Raleigh beginning in the months of February and July on dates as the board may set from year to year.

IMPORTANT NOTICES FOR ALL APPLICANTS

****FILING DEADLINES – MAIL OPTION****

The Board considers an application “filed” when it is received in the Board’s offices.  However, if you mail your application, then if your envelope bears a postmark on or before the deadline and has sufficient postage, AND your Application is signed and notarized and is otherwise complete, then it will be considered filed as of the date the postmark shows it was mailed.
